Dining Dark and Light

This is my "Dark and Light" dining table arrangement.  What a fun post this turned out to be.  Sometimes you just don't know where things are going to go.  Have you ever had a post that you thought would be great and was just "so-so."  I wasn't sure how this arrangement would turn out but I'm delighted beyond all reason.

This is my "new" pedestal bowl.  Do remember where it came from?  If you thought:  "Bad" Thrift Day--you were right!

A reminder of the "before."  Admit it, the pedestal candlestick and carved bowl were meant for one another.

I forgot about this pretty pumpkin from last year.  It was tucked behind a bunch of stuff in my pantry.  (My pantry is kind of like Mary Poppins' carpet bag.)  It takes on such importance when perched on this candle holder.

I usually don't distress my items enough.  This time, I was more aggressive with my sanding off of the paint on my new bowl.

"Miss Peepers" seems to be a camera hog.  She hopped around to get in as many shots as she could.

Do you remember The Little Pumpkin that Could?   Here she is adding just enough subtle color to keep my arrangement from looking too flat.

This is my absolute-ist favorite-ist shot (above)!

Doesn't it seem like after awhile, your blog post adventures and misadventures come together?  Here's what's shown:  Tray, Runner, Pumpkin, Mini Pumpkins, Thrift, Cloche.

  14. I love the shabby white decor. Isn't it fun when you find some little treasure that you have forgotten about. That pumpkin is adorable. I have a couple of similar ones and wonder where I got them and why I didn't get more. Nice Table Top.

  20. I'm going to have to go back and check out your post about the bowl and candlestick. Apparently, you have married the two of them. The result is perfection, especially with your distressed painting job. This is such a delightful vignette. laurie
