Pillow Slips Revisited With Birds and Zebra Print

Do you mind seeing redos from time to time?  I hope not!  Because I was incessantly nagged greatly encouraged to make my "famous" tied pillow slips for, well, you know.  I used some fabric you haven't seen here before (at least in this color variation!*) and whipped these up.

The yellow Robert Allen Vintage Blossom Citrine was found at one of my favorite fabric haunts**.  I then took it to JoAnn's to find some coordinating fabric.  Zebra is always très chic!  And, the dots, well, who doesn't {heart} dots?

Here's my little miffed birdie friend, again.  Do you remember how I put these together?  You can click on my previous post, Pillow Slipcovers, to get more detailed instructions.  I'll reiterate a little bit, too.  For the zebra insert, I cut 18 1/2" square, sewed it flat and added a zipper on one side.

The bird fabric was cut the same size and sewed together on three sides, with a 2" squared corner.  I made double fold bias tape, cutting it 1 3/4" wide.  The ties are cut 13" long.

Then it's just a matter of putting your pillow form in the (zebra) cover and tucking it into the (bird) slipcover and tying.   If you have perfectly good pillows you want a new look for, find some coordinating fabric and give this a try.  If you are going to make these and need more details, please leave a comment or email me and I'd be happy to help you out.  Gotta go start dinner before there is a coup d'état of the CCH kitchen... (How do you like that?  Two French terms in one post.  Ooo la la, me!)
