Yay! Who doesn't love donut holes? They're so cute! I saw this idea the other day on Pinterest, it's from
Gracious Rain. This might be an idea for a kids' breakfast or dessert on Thanksgiving, or maybe a kids' project. Oh heck, maybe an adults' project.
In case you can't figure out my ingredients, you will need:
- Donut holes
- Nutella or frosting
- sprinkles or toffee bits (I can't lie, toffee bits are my favorite!)
- stick pretzels
These are so easy-peasy. Spread the top of the donut hole with Nutella, roll into the sprinkle topping, poke pretzel through the end, (you may have to break them to make them shorter). You can eat (or photograph) them while they're still gooey. They set up after a bit. Don't get side-tracked by dipping the pretzel directly into the Nutella jar and snacking--stay focused!
We purchased plain and glazed donut holes. I liked the glazed better because they were bigger and slightly elongated.
Ummm, num, num, num. Definitely
not a nutty idea!
