Here are a few things I've spied out and about this past week or so. The first is this awesome faux antler craft (the way she does it, it's art, people) project by Lucy from Craftberry Bush. Lucy made these faux antlers with foil and clay!!! I'll be copying these soon!
Have you seen that Grace of the Design Sponge's book has just come out. I always enjoy it when bloggers "make it big," don't you?
Closer to home, I'm thinking about painting these pumpkins, etc., that I purchased at the thrift store last year. Would you? (Hint: Not white.)
This contest was announced last week at Robyn Story Designs blog. I want to let you know about her contest, as she is an ASCP Stockist, and is also a homegirl (Tampa!). As of this post, she hasn't given any time constraints. Here's what she has to say:
* * * * * * *
Using my [Robyn's] Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Christmas Tree as your muse - your inspiration - think outside the box and produce an INSPIRED Holiday Decoration or accent!
...An ornament
...A holiday tablescape
...A gift idea
...A gift idea
...Any decoration...
Let your imagination soar!
Here's the catch: You must incorporate a found item(s) that you have repurposed... like our wonderful used brushes and old pots of paint!
Here are the rules: Use any product you like or any materials you like, but of course, we always like to see how you might put Annie Sloan Paint into your projects! Be SUPER creative!! Then, send us [Robyn] a photo of your fabulous creation complete with a description of how you made it and what products you used.
Winner of this contest will receive a $250.00 American Express Gift Card to use as you see fit!

For each entry Robyn receives, she will make a donation to Ocular Research and Education Foundation.
Good luck, ladies, it's time to get your (early) holiday groove on (or at least be thinkin' about your groove!) I need to get down to her store and introduce myself and (finally) purchase some ASCP for myself.
Nice finds! I am still hoping that Any's paint will hop over the ocean to my side of the world too. But since it hasn't I guess I'll have to decline the challenge. Something to think about though, although Christmas seems so far away....
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the contest. Robyn's story is a great one, to think only ten years ago she was working out of her garage and know look where she's at.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Theresa
Can't wait to see what you do with the thrift store fruit! :)
