Classic Linen

"Wow" pillows
The caning has one small crack, so I'm going to try to repair it (with some glue?) without replacing it--we'll see how that goes. This type of caning is in a sheet, so it's not nearly as intimidating as reweaving if I need to go that route. I'm really leaning toward the classic linen finish. I wouldn't rule out a pretty toile, either.
Have you seen any settees that you would recommend as inspiration? . It just occurred to me that I never did reveal the price. Are you curious?

Whaaat! You have to love that price! I'm hooked on CL. I think sometimes I have an illness! What a great find.
ReplyDeleteWow amazing deal. I can't find a settee for under
ReplyDelete$300 on CL and none of them look as good as yours! And did they actually post this one under "settee" or just "loveseat" or something else? It's a bit of an adventure to look for them on CL because everyone calls them something different!

What a steal!! Look forward to the makeover.
ReplyDeleteCute! What a great deal. I have had *some* success with using glue to repair cane. If you can find a loose piece somewhere, you can weave it in to help disguise broken pieces. The paint helps disguise it in the end more than anything!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Red Hen Home.
wow - you are one heck of a second hand shopper! I love the inspiration pic with the bright pillows - you could change it up whenever you liked. I don't know where i would put a piece like this, but i bet I could find a spot for $20!!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a deal. The linen will go so well with your other projects you have featured.
ReplyDeleteCL? I explained what a loonie is now it is your turn. What is CL?
Yep...that was an awesome deal! I do like the classic linen look and then you can add different pillows to change the look. Look forward to seeing what route you take!
