Bowl-y Me!


Today, I found this bowl at the thrift store.  This bea-U-tiful, wonderful bowl.  It was hiding on a lower shelf, under a tray and some other plate-y thing.  BUT I spied the yellowy-green colored rim peeking out that I just can't resist.


Remember my Thrift Find Cuban Soup post with the same yellowy green tray?  Well, I carefully dug it out, and what did I find?


Ouch, the price was a little more than I like to spend, but then I noticed...


Yep, the real McCoy!  Now, I didn't have any idea if this was a bargain price or not, but I thought:
  • Size?  Love (a large-sized serving dish, which I always use)
  • Color?  Love, Love
  • Slice of Americana?  Love, Love, Love!
Weee.  It came home with me.  See how perfectly it goes with my prior thrift store find?


 Does it remind anyone else of a fast food restaurant logo?


I just had to check ebay and see if I could find anything like this, and guess what?  There is an identical bowl in blue listed right now.  It's a buy-it-now for $69.50, or best offer.  Yeehaw!  Even if it's not worth $69.50, it should be worth more than $15!  I'm doing the hap-hap-happy dance!  I'll probably do it every time I pull my new serving bowl out for awhile.

    Hi Kim! Oh, my goodness! Your paper roses sphere is gorgeous! Oh, I'm glad I have a companion who understands about the poor little fingers. I had no idea these little roses would take to long to make, did you? Now I'm getting that serious blog crafter's envy again. I think I have a stray tennis ball somewhere... :)
