Just a Couple of Roosters in the Kitchen

Lynn's Barnyard Bash gives me a good excuse to use this wonderful fabric.  You see, I don't have animals in my kitchen, so I had to round up a couple so we could do some partyin'.

Please have a seat and pour yourself a mug of tea...or a glass of Sangria.

I hope a mug will do, I don't have fancy teacups, either.

Don't you think any beverage is just more fun when being served out of a pitcher?  Especially this pretty one.  (Yep, Sangria really is in the pitcher).

Just in case we need salt, did you notice my little salt urn?  It's the one I got as a souvenir in Tennessee.  Hmmm, maybe I should have put sugar in it for this occasion.

It's such an elegant serving piece from the past, I thought you might enjoy it, too.  You know, if we need salt.

But I digress, let's get back to our, um rooster tea.  I wish I had scones or finger sandwiches to offer you...

Would you mind apples right now?

Or, maybe, just some good conversation?

I hope you enjoyed your stay, even if there weren't an awful lot of barnyard animals.  I'd love for you to visit again soon!

Now for my little announcement.  I have just opened an Etsy store which will contain some items I've sewn every now and again.  The first item is this Rooster Table Runner.  This will give me a chance to use some fabrics that may not go as well in my home as in yours.  I imagine it will be mostly table runners with maybe a pillow or two.  Nothing fancy, just fun.

And while you are here, please take my Lamp Challenge!
