Fabric Fun Thursday No. 12

A promise is a promise (from last week).  If you saw Monday's AdoRED post, you got a sneak peek of the latest runner I made.  It's not for me, though, it's custom made for one of my clients.

I was trying to decide whether I wanted a ruffle here or not.  I usually add a gathered piece of fabric, but I was working with a longer mid section, so decide to go this route.  I think it adds a pretty detail.

Here it is, ready to go!

COMMERCIAL BREAK:  I added a Kasmir button to my sidebar.  I've been selling this fabric ever since I started my decorating business, why?, because I love the selection, so most of the fabric you see used in my home and for my clients is from Kasmir.  If you'd like to order Kasmir fabric or trims, please e-mail me, they will be shipped right to your door.  (Their books are at many custom fabric stores and at my local Ben. Moore store.) ~ I hope you don't mind me adding this short "commercial break", I don't want to become a "sell, sell, sell" blog, but I thought it would be nice to get the word out.  The table runner is, of course, Kasmir :).

Now back to our regularly scheduled blog post--your features from last week:

Mrs. Vintage Southern Life, whipped up this chair scarf (with tassels and everything) to protect the arms of her chairs.  What an easy update this would be if you just needed to freshen up a well-loved chair.

This bird-bag by Cecily at Craftopotamus has been featured at other places in blogland, and why not?  It is a beautiful bag made of birdseed bags and burlap.  It's a wonderful combination of recycling, function, and adorableness.

Lastly,  I'm definitely say "Yes!" to this pillow from Sump'n Sassy.   This would be a great project for someone (like me) who hasn't gotten the supplies to do a printer transfer, but still would like her pillows to have some personality.

Wonderful job, ladies!

Link up rules. Please be a sweetheart and...

1. Link your post, not your general URL. (Click on the title of your post. Copy and paste from your address bar.)

2. Link to this blog with my FFT button or refer to this event in your post so others can join in the fun.  If I can't find a reference to FFT I'll have to delete your entry--please don't make me hunt all over for it, if I can't find it, others will not be able to either.  I really hate to do this!

3.  Please no direct Etsy or store links.  If you are showing us how to do something, then putting it in your store, that's fine.

4. DO YOU LOVE COMMENTS?  We all do, so please visit as many of the other links as you can.  You'll be glad you did--there is so much talent out there.
