I haven't shown you any bargains, thrift or garage sale-ing items in awhile. So, it's about time, I'd say. Take a look at what I've picked up in the last week or so.
- Woo hoo, fancy chandy
- Same chandy, not so dandy (sorry, I couldn't resist that cheesy rhyme)
- Heavy brass touch-on lamps, I think one needs to be rewired (I left the shades behind, they were too dated)
- Ceramic lamp ($3), Ooo la la mirror ($12), outer piece of a ceiling medallion ($3)
The items in photo 4 are taller than they appear, I would guess the mirror is about 24" high. Healthy Chick wants the pretty mirror for her bathroom, I was hoping to fit it into a niche in the living room but it was too wide. Boo. Hoo. I'm thinking of putting the chandy in Fun-Sized Chicks room--it's the only wild-card project of the bunch.
One of these items will probably end up in a "Would you pay ? for this item" challenge, so be thinking creatively--I know you always do anyway. Yippee! The first challenge was so fun.

I totally can't wait to see what comes out of your creative mind with these treasures in the making.

LOVE that mirror!!! Can't wait to see the results!!!
ReplyDeleteTerrific finds! Now go "redecorate" your Mom's place some more -- and convince her that all the GOOD stuff needs to go ... go right into your home. My daughter does that to me....
ReplyDelete... and I let her. :-)

I am super jealous of that mirror! Been looking for one just like it for months. And $12! Aargghh!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how you redo these. I know they will look great.
ReplyDeleteYou have a gorgeous site! Thank you so much for visiting my blogoir on my SITS day last week.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim, I stopped by yesterday, but didn't have time to leave a comment. I'm back, and I love the shape on those lamps. I have some similar and I'm thinking of painting them white...how about you? Also, pretty mirror. Thanks for your comment on my story. Actually I am kind of nervous putting a creative writing piece (I use the term loosely!) up, but I want to win a French monogrammed chemise! I'm desperate! Love your blog....went through some previous posts. Have a great day! Linda
ReplyDeleteWow, those are some great finds! I love that gold mirror!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! Thanks so much for popping over to my place! Your generous compliment regarding my newest creations made my day! Wow..I can see you've got yourself some great pieces to work with in your upcoming challenge. I'll be checking back to see how you transform them.
ReplyDeleteHugs of Summer Sunshine,

It's too bad the mirror didn't fit in your niche. I am sure it will look great in Healthy Chicks bathroom.
ReplyDeleteThe chandelier makeover will be a bit of a challenge but if anyone can make it wonderful...it's you!!!
Rhonda
Can't wait to see what you do with all your "goodies!" :)
