Congratulations -- Bridgette at All Things Related!
Entry for the giveaway ended Tuesday, March 23 - and I forgot! I thought it was the 25th or 26th. Boy, some people are just not responsible (insert blushing blogger here!). Bridgette, please try to e-mail me with your address. If you like Longaberger®, please visit my store, The Attic. I am a former consultant trying to clear out my samples. The entire purchase price of anything you buy will be donated! I may take an offer, too, as I really want to clean out my closets, so please ask.
Some Inspiration!
This was in the Home Section of yesterday's NYT. Since little birds have taken the blog-dec world by storm, I thought I'd share this.Kevin Busta, a Cleveland boilermaker turned furniture maker, has released a limited-edition series of photos printed on old industrial blueprints. “Birds on A Wire,” above, is a 30-by-84-inch photograph printed on an original blueprint for a locomotive engine; it sells for $5,200 and is part of an edition of five.
“When I was growing up, there was a big factory in Medina that did a lot of casting that went out of business,” said Mr. Busta, 31, speaking of his Ohio boyhood. “They did pieces for power plants, turbine engines. They filled the Dumpster with everything. There was a big windstorm, and I gathered up a bunch of the blueprints to use it for art.”
Understood. Why are these prints so expensive?
“There’s a limited amount of the blueprints,” Mr. Busta said. “They’re kind of sentimental to me.”
The prices vary by size. Additional series are also available. Information: (216) 440-1044 or kevinbusta.com.
