In an effort to have too much to accomplish, I am in the midst of doing two bedrooms.
Bedroom #1
Six-Foot Chick chose this PBTeen room for inspiration:
A little bit of before.
Some during.
(Healthy Chick is helping - yea!)
The color is Benjamin Moore's Shaker Grey
Elements to add:
A brown comforter, turquoise sheets and a bright pink pillow. It would be nice if the furniture were white. I don't want to have to paint an entire set. The drawers and headboard have a painted blue inset, we're going to work on painting that white. We are debating on a window treatment color.

Bedroom #2
This is for the guest room at my mom's house you saw the daybed when I picked it up at the consignment store.
Originally, this room had a large TV credenza and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was replaced by the daybed. The room is gold--no painting was necessary!
The bedding will be changed and a pop up trundle added.
The floral fabric is being repurposed from the Master bedroom. This is the swaggy thing before.
The old floral panels after.
Instead of using the rod pockets, up-to-date clips were used. (I hope I don't hear any gagging at the vertical blinds that are still there!) We have the 1) goal of getting my mom's house ready to sell, so I figured these were okay to leave 2) Florida's sun is a force to be reckoned with, so even though they aren't attractive, they are practical!

I found this little dresser on craigslist. Ideally, I would have liked a dark wood with simpler lines. For a quick update, the handles will be replaced with rubbed bronze knobs and the mirror with a round one with a dark frame.
Up next: Look for a cozy corner chair. (Fingers crossed!)
Just stopping by for the first time, and I'm loving it!! Great blog!
