A New Tray

It all started innocently enough.  I was doing a quick scoot-through of a furniture store for a client.  When this caught my eye.  I thought "Hmm, that would look good at my house!"

Since I was in a furniture store, I figured it would have a high price tag.  Plus, the size is generous, 15" x 25".   I was, oh, so wrong!  For less than $30, including tax, this beauty came home with me.  Since I thought lightening might strike twice, I priced another one of their trays--cough, cough--about $70, which is what I expected.

"Light"
To "trick" it out for Easter, I decided to try both a light and dark version of accessories.

"Dark"

Which to you like better?  Dark or light?  It's a tough decision, but someone's gotta make it!  I'm thinking dark, but give me a couple days, or a couple minutes, and I might change to light.

Do you remember my eggs--Spring on one side, flowers and butterflies on the other--from Ross two years ago?   I didn't even pull them out last year. Why?--they're so cute!

Speaking of cute.  While I was paying, around the corner where I couldn't see, the sales associate was bagging the tray up.  It really sounded like she was wrestling with some plastic.  Um, that tray was packed in a LARGE bag.  How large was it?  This is 5'10" Artsy Chick nestled in it!

I'm so glad you stopped by today--how is your spring/Easter decorating going?

  1. I leaning towards the dark, but I like the light also. Not much help was I?:o)
My Spring/Easter decorating is going nowhere and will probably stay that way until my projects are finished!! Which may not be until summer at the speed I am moving.

    Have a wonderful day.

  2. Very pretty! We've got a lot of spring left (I hope), so you should get a chance to use both your light and dark decorations!
And yes, that's the biggest bag I've ever seen ;-)

  6. Well, I agree they are both nice, but I really like the light toned items the best. It's spring . . .lighten up. Maybe, it's because the dark colors make me feel warm and cozy and that's a great feeling for winter. The lighter tones make me feel more light and energetic and that is spring to me. Just my humble option. Oh, by the way I love the tray, it would be perfect in my living room as well. Have a great day. If you have a spare minute come on over for a visit, my welcome mat is always out. Your fan and follower, Connie

  7. Kim,
I like the light version and what a deal you got on that tray!
Couldn't help but smile when I saw your 5'10 daughter in the bag! She must be really thin and limber. I am the same height and I know I couldn't do that. LOL
Thanks for your sweet comments on my photos and header. IT means a lot.
