Stenciled Table Runner From an Old Drapery Panel

I am so delighted to show you my latest project.  I hope you like it as much as I do.  You all know I got a stencil recently, well..., I have to get my use out of it, right?   I totally love this design, and will plan on adding it to my Etsy shop if it doesn't sell at the craft fair in a couple of weeks.

It didn't start out this way, of course.  When my mom moved in the Spring, she had some excess drapery panels.  This was one of a simple cotton set that had tab tops.

The seams were all pulled out--that was fairly easy--'cause it was one of those continuous threads where you could just pull the end and it all came out.  You can see I folded it over in half, lengthwise, to try to figure out how I wanted to lay it out.

It turned out nice and long.  Since I was working with a panel, I figured I'd use a-l-l the fabric.

Total big, puffy heart love!  Warning:  The fabric projects are going to continue for awhile.  I may have to change my blog name to Sew Chic Home or something!

  20. That must be a really good stencil for the paint not to bleed underneath it? Either that or you are really good at it, or both?
