Once upon a time, there was this girl (me),
who saw some wine bottle drying racks and thought they were cool. Super cool. Romantic, even.

However, said girl (that would be, um, me again), could not figure out where she might put cool wine bottle dryer, or justify the expense for that matter. Enter, baby bottle dryer... But, what? I have no babies (at least not the small, bottle-fed kind).
This "Cinderella" version was discovered at the thrift store.
Before...
Add a bit of spray paint, some distressing, and cool (admit it) Perrier water bottles, and now --
Happily Ever After!
(Good grief! Is the top of your 'frig this clean? A real-life Cinderella must have been working up here. Once again, uh, me.)
(I had to move the pieces down to the counter. I couldn't focus and hold the camera at the same time, 'cause I'm not talented like that.)
This is one of those projects that I really had my doubts about, but now that I have it all "staged up," I'm lovin' it! Oo, la la, très chic!
I'm sharing my 'happily-ever-after' story here:
Kim, that is so cute. Yea I want one of those racks, too.
ReplyDeleteOui! I want one of these for my mom's yard - so, on a bigger scale...
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous. I loe it. The top of the fridge looks fantastic. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWow I love it, although I must admit I may have shed a tear once I realized you didn't make it... meaning I couldn't just follow simple instructions and have one.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll either have to invite myself over to steal oops I mean "see" yours or get creative and make one, but I AM INSPIRED :+)
With all the home-made wine we reuse our bottles!
Let's be honest, the bottle drying rack is pretty awesome, but I must confess, I'm even more impressed with the top of the fridge and how you could tell a story from the third person persepctive about yourself and still sound really modest.
ReplyDeleteI like yours better!~Ames
ReplyDeleteI too drool over those vintage wine racks but sadly are way out of my price range. What a great alternative. And I know the top of my fridge is not that clean!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I love it!

ReplyDeleteMel from TheCraftPickle!

Super cute. I have been eyeing a drying rack at the antique shop but it's 125.00 and I am trying to justify the potential purchase. Yours is great! Maybe I'll try something!
