Welcome back! Let's start right where we left off, shall we? Healthy Chick can show you around. She just got in from taking one of her finals.
Hi Peeps! Let's check out (my mom's) our dining room. Well, come to think of it, I need to get ready to meet a friend for lunch, I think I'll let my mom take over again, besides, she's the one who knows all of the what's what on this stuff. Just don't make me take another trip to the thrift store with her...
Thanks, honey--kids, they have such short attention spans! You remember my faux mantel, I found another bottle brush wreath for my angel.
I've been really excited to show you this next find. Remember my trip to the thrift store when I found my sled? And ornaments? Well, well, look what we have here, an ah-maze-ing wooden tray.
I tried, I really did, try NOT to buy this, but it was, are you ready for this? Seven dollars!
It measures 24" x 18" has great large handles and is divided into several compartments. It has a small metal piece in the middle with rings. Does anyone know what that's for? (You can see a glimpse of it in the above photo.) It looks like it might hold tube-style glass vases. The wood is practically perfect. I think I'll leave this find as is.
I loaded it up with several miscellaneous goodies: Gold ornaments, always a classic choice, as well as, cinnamon sticks and
White poinsettias. I mished and moshed my two sets of candlesticks. Three are in the tray, two are out.
A wreath on a pedestal is hiding in the corner. This was a last minute decision, 'cause I wanted to put the wreath stand somewhere.
I almost forgot...
this glitter berry-filled cloche.
Well, we finally made it to the family room. I left my hutch the same, except traded out the fruit for some disco ball filler.
And added NOEL to the top.
The last stop on my Christmas Tour, will be the "Merry & Bright" portion. I was going to add it here, but it was just too jolting visually.
See what I mean?
I'm joining:

Your daughter is just adorable, and what a gorgeous lady. Love your home and all of your decorations are so pretty. The new box/tray is fabulous. I love the vignette you've created in it. Thanks for sharing some of your beautiful Christmas. Hugs, Marty P.S. Of course the cloche would have to be one of my most favorite things.
