Q: What do you get when you cross a funky yellow fork and spoon with some oil rubbed bronze spray paint?
A: Some updated kitchen art!
I found these recently for $3 at GW. They are metal and about 16 inches long. I've been wanting something for this wall for quite some time. I'd really prefer a decorative shelf with a pretty plate. However, this door leads out to the pool area, so I figured anything that was bump-into-able was not such a great idea.
I'm so glad I found metal ones that are in a classic style. Was I lucky, or what? I'm linking with:
I love it! Its kind of an updated take on the wooden fork and spoon set. So much more chic though! :-)

Those are so cute! I've been trying to find something like that with no such luck, so you are a lucky gal!
ReplyDeleteThey're a fun twist to the old wooden sets. They look great. I can see a big frame around them too. I try to be careful around the doors too. Things are always moving!
ReplyDeleteThose are great find...I love the metal too!

ReplyDeleteVery nice work as usual!
Hows your business going? any new projects?
Kim they look adorable! Lucky find. :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks wonderful! I have some wooden ones, very cool, from South Africa, but they just don't look great hung up, I wonder what they would look like painted like that?
ReplyDeleteLove the look of your great find. Changing the color was the thing to do. A very good look and they won't break. Good thinking.

Whoa! This is such a great idea. I'll add it to Sexy Nerd's to do list :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Kim! Wouldn't "Eat" look good on an adjacent wall? I'll have to get you the pattern and video so you can give it a try. Would be too cute with that gorg fork & spoon!
ReplyDeleteLove these. My grandparents had giant fork and spoon on their wall...they are at my parents now...I want them. Until then, I have found a few sets at GW, etc. But have done nothing...yet! So many projects so little time.
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! What a great thrift store find!
ReplyDeleteI love orb and those look much better.
ReplyDeleteThose look great there! I remember those from a long time ago. Crazy how even house decor. makes a come back.
ReplyDeleteI have a similar fork and spoon that were pink when I got them! I painted them silver and have them hanging on my wall. I have another, heavier set that is red. I found it in an antique shop.
ReplyDeleteHow cool!!!! I love them!!!
ReplyDeleteI remember those in my childhood best friends house! Very cool--love them!
