Fabric Fun Thursday #1 and a Giveaway

Welcome to Fabric Fun Thursday.  In addition to DIY projects, feel free to link up any vintage linens, table linens, fabric bargains, etc.

Fabric Flower Power
This is the thrifty fabric I found last week at Old Time Pottery.  (You know sometimes I find tacky stuff there and sometimes I find great stuff.)  I got two bundles of five yards each.  The per yard price was $3.96.  Total for each bundle - less than $20!
This yellow might be too bright for some of you, but I'm lovin' it!

I set them side by side to get a look at them, my little bird friend (ain't he cute?) is also weighing in on the decision (I didn't set this shot up - these things were already on the table this way!)
Some cutting is happenin'...

What on earth do you think I should do with it?

Any ideas?

Surprise, Surprise!  To KICK-OFF our 1st Fabric Fun Thursday,
Liza, from Georgetown Cottage Crafts, is giving one lucky person
12 Felt Stars from her Etsy store.

Woo Hoo - Just in time for Independence Day!

Take a look at her other goodies:
Shabby hearts
Darling holiday sets.
Is Liza talented, or what?  She also has a new blog called Georgetown Cottage Crafts which I'm sure she'd love you to visit.

  12. Kim, I'm loving this party concept and you've had a great turnout for your first one. I can think of all kinds of things that I would like to share. Today, in fact, I was working real fast trying to finish something up which I hadn't posted about before, but alas, the day is drawing to a close and my project is still incomplete. Therefore, I linked up several items that I've posted in the past and they seemed to be rather well viewed. Anyway -- LOVE the party. I think your gorgeous fabrics would make such nice chair cushions or pillows, but I have a feeling that you already have something in mind...hmmm. Thank you for hosting today and I'm going to check out the other links!

  13. Dang! Can't believe I missed this party! Day late and a dollar short! That fabric is gorgeous!
That color would be great as a cushion on an outdoor glider/love seat or bench cushion. Can't wait to see the finished project!
