You may remember this tray that got a Graphics Fairy print. It's current home is in the powder room. I really like it on this shelf - confession, the shelf has been empty for quite A. While. because the basket that was there has been called into active duty. Okay, let's get back on track, oh yeah, why I like trays.
You can stack 'em --
--and corral vignettes. Do you like the gold, metal tray? It was another thrift find, but this one caused me trou-ble. As in TRUB- BULL. I tried scraping the black, then priming, but ended up scraping and peeling all of the black off to get the gold to stick right. The gold paint is still not sticking that well. I'm suspecting it might be the gold spray paint at this point because of all the prep work I did. It may get decoupaged.
It still works well for layering - smile, smile. Doesn't the layering make the arrangement look "more important" and put together? Directions for: Antique book.
Who couldn't use a tray on an ottoman?

Back to the black tray from the first photo, here's a better shot of the carvings in the bottom:Take a peek to see what the tray is sitting on. Hint: It's a silver book. The Bible from my dilemma post!
Swoon, this is so pretty. I have never, ever gotten photos to turn out this well in my living room. It was about 2 p.m. on a semi-overcast day. I've gotta remember that! An upcoming post may or may not contain the flowers shown below. Stay tuned for a blog announcement next week!

I have a soft spot both for trays and baskets (refering to your post below). I love the black tray with the gorgeous carving! (even though it looks dark brown on my screen)

I adore how trays just elevate vignettes!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of trays. You did a great job transforming them all.
ReplyDeleteI love your tray vignettes! I have a tray in the family room that is always filled with the family's junk! No matter how many times I clean it out and "style" it, they all take over and leave empty dishes, lego toys, tv remotes, etc!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
I love your trays. I especially love all the layering. Trays are so versatile ...I have only recently started going try crazy myself. Thanks for linking up!
