A Little Revealing

So, where have I been since Monday's post?  Working on this home.  Remember granite shopping?  Well the granite, new sink and faucet have been installed.  So will you get to see pictures of that today?  Sorry, not yet.  The kitchen is a landing workspace, so it isn't tidey enough for photo ops.
If you are a Facebook follower, you saw a sample of this fabric yesterday.  Today, it is "miraculously" a pillow cover.

Below are some before's and after's.  The walls are a beautiful taupey color called Pavillion Beige by Sherwin Williams.   Unfortunately, it's really hard to see in the pictures, it's much richer in person.

Before above.
New chandelier, paint, curtains.  The client and I are both really pleased with the curtains (they do need some pressing).  The plaid really livens the space up without being country-ish.  This photo doesn't do this area justice!

Lots of new items here.  The mantel will be changed and finessed.  The mantel is newly stained, although it's due to get a more espresso finish.  The picture over the mantel was re-framed with old barnwood, it's awesome!  There are now draperies with sheers on the way.

We are planning on hanging many of the personal photos on the walls to either side of the entertainment center.  After seeing this pictures, I can see some changes I'd like to make - isn't that always the way?  By the time I left today, we were pretty beat.
On an interesting note, most of the items the homeowner already had, we moved lots of things around.  I hope you enjoyed the mini tour and stick around for the next installation!

  5. I hate my stupid AT&T internet card. I wrote you a comment when I was "online" (but actually wasn't "online") and it magically vanished.

To summarize: I love your blog and your decorating style & will be back! :)

    Stupid AT&T!!!

  6. I see we have a mutual admiration for the same colors. I love all the little vignettes. Is there a chance we'll see a close-up of that pic over the fireplace? It's got me intrigued.
