BEDROOM FINALE From Attic and Plant Ledge

Welcome back to the second installment of the bedroom made from a portion of our attic and plant ledge.  Did you miss the prior post on the bedroom remodel?  The railing was spliced and new rail added over the bridge.  The finished bridge - now safe to walk across.

Plant ledge before and after.

Built-out wall.  You can't even tell there was an addition, it looks like part of the original architecture.

Come on in!  A much safer entry into the bedroom, the compact bathroom is to the right, the bedroom area to the left.

We were able to fit a queen-sized bed in here in spite of both ends of the far wall being curved.  (It's hard to see, but the headboard was made by me and is upholstered in black ultra suede.)  The night stand is to the left of the window, 'cause it's the only place it fits - but at least it fits!  {smile!}  We are delighted a queen size bed fits in here, because we'd like to use it as a guest room.
The division in the ceiling (see it up there by the ceiling fan) is where the original wall was, so to the left of that was the attic, the right side didn't exist.  A tall chest of drawers, fits snugly in the corner where a regular long dresser would not.

My handyman and I had fun brain-storming over the bathroom sink area.  We repurposed a piece of granite that was left from another area.  Since it was a boys bath, we decided to go with unfinished plumbing pipes to hold it up.  I found the clear vessel sink and faucet on line.
This is the cute little shower (to the left is the curve).   We are very please with how it turned out!  I hope you enjoyed my room addition tour.
