What After Christmas Deals Did You Snag?

Admit it, even if you're not the day-after-Christmas bargain shopper, you just can't resist taking a peak at the leftover goodies that are on clearance! ~smile!~

I only picked up a few things.  I resisted a couple of tempting items, too (namely a red tablecloth at Target with large-scale snowflakes on it).

These are my finds.  The ornament pack is from Target, disco ball filler in silver, brown, and bronze (!) from Michael's.  I need to digress a little.  See the printed tablecloth and napkins - in the SHUT-UP-WIDE-AWAKE colors and French style?  I got them on sale at T. J. Maxx before Christmas.  T.J. only had four napkins, so I wanted to find coordinating ones.  (That print can easily be too much of a good thing, too!)  Take a closer look at the solid yellowy-orange napkins.  I bought a table cloth on Christmas eve, yes, Christmas eve, at Tuesday Morning.  It was $9.99 for a 60"x60" tablecloth.  It was the perfect color for my missing napkins!  On Christmas day, I cut up the tablecloth, hemmed it, and got my extra napkins!!!  The tablecloth had a deep hem with nice mitered corners.  Mine aren't mitered as well - but I don't care!  I made four napkins (so far) for $9.99.  Now, you could cut this up differently and get nine napkins - how cool is that?
[I realized doing something like this on Christmas day is a tad, well, crazy.  But I had been doing, doing, doing for everyone else and I wanted these for moi!]

I used my sage green plates for dinner.  This palette needs a little "cooling off" though.  I think silver or pewter napkin holders would be in order.

These are my favorite after Christmas find.   They are candle holders that hold tea lights on one side, and if you flip them over they hold tapers.  They are a nice chunky glass.  I had been wanting votive holders to scatter around the dining table.  These are just lovely as the clear glass allows the light to shine through them.

Okay, the scoop - Where? and How much?

  1. Oh I'm jealous! I so wish I had an IKEA to visit! However, I'm heading to Walmart at lunch today. I'm hoping to score some fabulous after Christmas sales of Christmas decor! Luckily my town is so small no one else will be melting over the glitter so there should be plenty left!

  2. Great score!!! I just love a lady who will repurpose things!!! I must admit I haven't gone any after-Christmas shopping. My sister and I did take our mom to the Amish restraunt in Sarasota Saturday and we ventured into their gift shop, and I did buy a really cute snowman pin (it was made of pearls!!!) so I guess that counts doesn't it? LOL

  3. Very nice project! I love the after-holiday clearance finds. I spent the month of December looking EVERYWHERE for white garland to match our white tree. We went to Target on Saturday, and there it was! Unfortunately, only one box remained - I wanted several. But I took my one box and hope to get lucky and find more throughout the year in my thrift stores and yard sales.

  4. I love that table cloth! It's definitely very French Country. Love it! Also, I saw the same snowflake table cloth at Target and even picked it up. I thought it would make great fabric for pillows. I, too, resisted.

  5. Wow... you scored!
    I love the tablecloth.

I haven't been out yet for the goodies. Oh wait, I got a roll of Transformer wrapping paper 50% off... it wasn't 'Christmasy' so I'm not sure why they clearanced it... but, I'm not complaining!

    Thanks for stopping by today.

  7. LOVE the linens - they look like they came from WIlliams-Sonoma. Great find!
Yes, photoshop is super pricey. My husband actually bought me photoshop elements, which is a wonderful program, and about $100. He got it on a black Friday sale!
Hope you have a great day!
