New Black (Or Not) Cloche

My goal was to blog every weekday. Yesterday, however, I was at a field trip all day with Fun-Size Chick. After being home for only a couple of hours, I had to head back out for an audition (voice). So, boo hoo, no blog for us!

Sunglasses Alert!
(for some reason I like these colors pumped up!)

You will remember this cloche in pieces on Monday's Thrifting Post.

You know the drill: I removed the little rubber feet from the cheese dome and took out all but one of the hooks on the candle holder (I thought I might hang a little something from it).

This is an arrangement on my foyer which was one of the places I had in mind for it to hang out.

I'm just not sure I'm feelin' it in black...
I didn't distress it or give it a finishing coat because of that.

I'm thinking I'm going to repaint it, remove the last little hook, and attach a tassel to the top knob. Does anyone have any other ideas???

Final sunglasses alert!

I have a little something up my sleeve that I'm really hoping turns out for tomorrow's post. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Don't forget, there's still time to enter the giveaway:
You do NOT have to be a blogger to enter.

  1. I love the picture with the brighter yellow. It makes everything, especially the black, really pop. I see what you mean, though. The black looks a little flat. Can't wait to see what's up that sleeve.

  2. I painted the bottom of my combo gloss black but I haven't painted the cloche plate yet. Love your colors, by the way! The gold and black with the green of the artichokes is stunning. So is the fabric you used. Ok, now I'm gushing. I found you on Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays over at Coastal Charm. Following you in 3, 2.....
