Okay, I have to admit it--I've jumped on the white-pumpkin bandwagon. Or should I say pumpkin wagon? What really got me on board was my friend Marilyn's display.
[Now I have to admit, I'm kind of a stick-in-the-mud when it comes to change. (Not a good trait for a blogger!) It's not that I don't like change, but I generally move on to other things, for instance dinner, shuttling kids...]
This is how my hutch looked "before".

I had been eying the larger sized white pumpkins at Michael's when they were half off. I just wasn't sure how I would fit them in. Then while shopping this weekend
--score!--
I found this bag of a dozen mini pumpkins for $5.98.
Since I already had the spray paint out, anyway,
what the heck,
let's do this garden finial while we're at it... I don't think I've really seen it in three years. It was in the corner of a niche.

The finial also got raw umber glaze. Much better! Spray paint is amazing!
I decided since I was going "white" I would stay with primarily white and yellow, so I removed everything but those. It looked a little flat, so I ended up adding green, too.
Here are some other after shots:
I purchased this little compote and artichokes the same time I found the pumpkins. I think it looks for all the world like an antique passed down from a great aunt.
This shot is the complete "after". As you can see, when I do a full display like this, I try to
keep the accent color zig-zagged,
as in the yellow pottery. All of the "littles" (artichokes, pumpkins, and pears) ended up at the left. I tried juggling those around, but I was happiest with this arrangement.

Yes, I used silk plants. I know they can be such dust collectors. A green thumb was just not one of the gifts God gave me, and I really like the softness a plant adds. I'm sure I'll spend time in decorating purgatory for it!
Final note: If the pottery looks familiar, I used to sell Longaberger.
