It's finished and I love it! The grain sack fabric was trimmed to 27" square to fit an old euro pillow that really was in need of a new cover.
Here it is on my settee so beautifully coordinated. Sigh. Pillow Heaven.
This is the reverse side, I used an over-sized welt cord. Plus, my euro pillow has a secret which I'll share-->
It's as cuddly as a Teddy bear! Why? Here's my secret: When I made this, I couldn't find a euro pillow form around town, so I made my own. But, I didn't use any ol' stuffing. I purchased a discount bed pillow that had a soft down-alternative filling. Oh, so plush! A cover was made out of lining, then the bed pillow was cut and the filling put into the new form--a nice, new cozy pillow! Shhh, I shouldn't give away all of my secrets!
It's one of those decor items that fits just about anywhere in my house. It may even help these girls (Six Foot Chick and Artsy Chick II (Strapping Lad's girlfriend))...Hide? Get cozy? Pillow fight!?
Now, one of the reasons I haven't posted recently.
Headache!

So if all goes welllll--there should be some changes pretty soon.

Love that pillow, Kim! That's a nice big size, too. If it's that soft, you better watch it doesn't become the "nap pillow"!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love the graphic! And pretty inventive about making your own stuffing!

Oh how fabulous. Love the pillow. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteLove your big, fluffy pillow. That's a great way to fill it for softness.

Good luck with all your changes. I always love your pillows.
ReplyDeleteHello! Love the look of the new WP site! And love this pillow. What is it about words on pillows that makes it fall in love with them? I'm wanting some more myself!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea to use that stuffing! I would have never thought of that! Your pillow is amazing!
Thanks for the inspiration!
