"Black Tie" Fall Faux Mantel

I can be such a cheater sometimes!  You see, whenever there are mantel parties and I want to participate I have to cheat.  The only long kind of narrow-ish display area I have is my buffet.  So, here I go again.

I'll refer to this arrangement as my "black tie" fall arrangement.  I used my glitter pumpkins displayed in moss in my mercury glass candle holders.

Plus, it gave me yet another reason to make a new table runner.  Unfortunately, I ran out of black thread.  Who runs out of black thread?  Do you see the back of the runner?  The other ruffle didn't get sewn on yet.  That won't keep me from taking photos.

Pumpkin under glass.

And now, a blast from the past, a couple of arrangements from last fall.

Other crafts from this post:

Thanks for hanging in here with me!  I've got several projects in the works right now, but need to run some errands to get missing supplies, e.g., some ribbon here, wood trim there...

Lastly, I'm going to leave you with this pumpkin-scape.  Isn't it glittery glamorous?   Hmm, I may be copying.  Better make a trip to the thrift store to see if there are any pumpkins!  See the creative lady who did it:  Cynthia Keenan

  5. I love the painted pumpkins! Very creative. Great ideas. Reading your other posts next!

Do did you use a glue gun to get the sparkles and swirls on the large tabletop pumpkins?

  6. I had to laugh at your "who runs out of black thread?" comment. Adorable runner. Perfect for your black tie theme! I love how this is Fall without the fall colors. Now if you can figure out a way to do Fall with Easter colors...my SIL would love you!!! LOL!

  7. Your black tie mantel and your bling on the pumpkins are terrific. Blogland has replaced the frost on the pumpkins with bling!
