I kind of feel bad since yesterday and today aren't "real" posts, but I gotta work with what I have. Healthy Chick and I did some Christmas shopping today. We went to an newer outdoor mall that I hadn't been to before. It is very nice, it had three major department stores with a lot of other "filler" stores. I was happily surprised to find a Pottery Barn since I don't get to one often, so took some pictures of their Christmas vignettes. But, ya know, I don't know if an outdoor mall is that wise in FL. Today it was 84oF, but it's December.
Here's what we saw:
Here's what we saw:
Healthy Chick checking out the stocking stuffer table. We couldn't figure out what some of the stuff was!
I just loved this trench. Don't they call this type of moss "reindeer" moss? I hope you can also see pinecones and mercury glass star ornaments.
I was seriously coveting this arrangement. The round ornament on the left is exactly like the ones I have on my foyer (the one pictured is silver, mine are gold). I asked the price on this long tray (it was divided into five sections). It was $79. Ouch.
We had a great day. The sandwich place we had lunch at was called Cosi, I think. It was pretty good, but I ordered a sandwich with pesto, then remembered I'm not that "big" on pesto. Tomorrow I should be getting back to standard bloginess. However, I still have some Christmas shopping to do!
[Oh! And I'm begging you! Can somebody give me tips on how to get a clear picture?? It seems like 90% of the time they are slightly "blurry". It's so frustrating! I've tried different settings on my camera and obviously have not hit on something that works for me consistently!]

I'm done in Port Charlotte - about 2 hours south on 75. We decided to visit Beall's Home Outlet, Big Lots and Books a Million at an outdoor mall. It was so hot, mid 80s with high humidity, that my glasses fogged when I left the truck and the stores !!
ReplyDeleteI don't shop much except for ideas - found a Pottery Barn in Sarasota, will have to visit.
Really enjoy your blog.
Love that centerpiece with the balls and candles!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a fun day!!
Oh, such beautiful things. I'm trying to make do with what I have this year so I'm not buying much in the way of decorations, but I love to look. That weather sounds delightful. It hasn't been above 22 degrees here for almost a week.
ReplyDeleteOhhh gorgeous stuff! I've never seen that kind of moss before.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from SITS!
Hi Kim
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
I'm sorry my blog doesn't update for you. I have had a few others tell me that too. Any ideas how I would go about fixing it? I am not a bit blogger issue savvy :)
